As a single mother, there were times when I did not have very much money to spend on the holidays.  However, I wanted to make sure that each and every one was special for my son, so  I learned how to find the best deals on the gifts he wanted and how to decorate for all the holidays on a shoestring budget.  I also found fun activities for us or him and his friends to do, many of which have become traditions.
